We have an old Persian rug in a farmhouse that has not been cleaned for around 5 years. We took it to Dave for cleaning and restoration. I contacted Cheshire Rug Cleaning concerning a Tibetan rug that required specialist cleaning. From start to finish the service was impeccable. The cleaning offered was explained and the rug collected. It took around two weeks for the cleaning and drying out period and on return we were both so very pleased with the result from what was dirty and dingy to a beautifully restored rug that I am proud to own. I cannot recommend the service we received enough.

I would highly recommend this company. My 40 year old, faded Turkish rug has been completely restored after cleaning and looks new! The colours are brighter and the pile is no longer flat. Dave picked it up and returned it within our agreed time frames. This was a completely effortless process.I am very pleased and would use again.

We have a stunning hand knotted Persian rug that was a smelly from years of wear and storage. We mainly wanted the odours removed which Dave did perfectly. I didn’t think it was too discoloured however upon return I could instantly see the colours even brighter. It’s like new. No colour run and no damage. The pick up/drop of service is perfect and Dave keeps you updated throughout. Very nice man and quality work 👍 My plan is to get another couple of old rugs and to let Dave make them new again. Dave is a really genuine chap & organised picking up & dropping off easily. Our long pile woollen rug is nearly 15years old. Over the years it’s been covered in soot, dog hair, her accidents & dog chews etc, not to mention years of dust & dander. Dave has done an amazing job & we are really pleased with the result! I am over the moon! Thanks to Dave who rescued my pastel coloured viscose rug after a stain disaster when my dog got sick on it twice! I found Cheshire rugs on Facebook. At first I was a little hesitant as I’d not used them before . I emailed them to ask a few questions - I got a reply instantly, I was so impressed with the response time as it was late in the evening. They were professional and super friendly. They collected my rug the following day and had it back to me quicker then originally expected. The rug came back in amazing condition ( it was white wool and a very expensive purchase ) so as you can imagine I was nervous , I was so so happy with the service and outcome of the rug !!) Dave was brilliant from start to finish… we have an older large-loop pile rug which was tricky to clean but Dave did an awesome job as sharing the options and what he was able to do… the result was a lovely clean rug which should have another good few years of life…

After being told by another local company that the pollen stains from a bouquet of lilies wouldn’t come out, I decided to get a second opinion. So glad I did. The service from Dave was excellent. We had two rugs cleaned, both woven wool, which were very dirty from our four labradors. Whilst we were rather embarrassed by the amount of dirt Dave got out of them, we are delighted about how clean they look now. Dave was extremely easy to deal with and very professional whilst friendly. He did everything he could to sort out Cleaning four rugs for me even though he was a distance away. I chose him because he was recommended by a good firm nearby who did not do specialist rug cleaning and he was so knowledgeable on the phone. The price was acceptable and when they were returned the difference was incredible. Brighter colours, softer colour deeper pile, and of course clean and smelling fresh. So nice to be able to leave a good review for a company these days! I can’t recommend him and his company enough.

Dave did a wonderful job on my Turkish rug. He has a huge knowledge of the different types of rugs out there and identified mine as an Oushak. The rug was bought when we visited Istanbul around 12 years ago and was needing a facelift. Dave gave me a reasonable quote and collected the rug exactly when he said he would. He returned it in good time, and it looks like new. The colours are so rich again and it smells beautiful. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company. The communication was second to none and the whole process was seamless. Thank you Dave, you were a real gentleman, and I hope to use you again.

I am very pleased with the excellent service I received. My thick rug was quickly removed, thoroughly cleaned and, despite being treated with insecticide, came back looking great and smelling very sweet and fresh. I can’t recommend Dave enough. We had a rug which the cleaners I’d found highly recommended online had ruined. It was warped and wrinkled and we almost threw it away. However after I emailed Dave he phoned back and took his time chatting with me to understand the problems and we decided to give it another go. He worked wonders! He brought it back to life and even though he had to wash and stretch it twice to do so he stuck to his original price. He clearly took a great deal of pride in doing his job well. He was also helpful about the timescale we wanted it done in, and even about putting it back down and rearranging the furniture. I will be recommending him to everyone I know, and be straight back to him with any future rug cleaning.

Very satisfied. Dave was pleasant and knowledgeable. He was true to his word, collecting and returning our rugs as agreed, returning them to their rooms and ensuring they were properly sited. Competitively priced, the chinese carpet (12 x 9) and rug (6x4) were in need of a good wash and that's exactly what they've had. They feel beautifully soft and their colours are bright. Both are 35+ years old but their fringes have come really clean and stains/ marks gone. We will certainly recommend this company to others.

If anyone is in need of a recommendation for carpet and rug cleaning I can highly recommend Cheshire Rug Cleaning. Dave collected a large rug from my address to take away and clean as it hadn't been professionally cleaned for approx. five years and was in great need of removing the dust that sits at the base of the fibers. Cleaned 3 wool mixture rugs for us and treated them. Excellent service very personable and explained clearly what he would do. Looked like new when we got them back. What can I say. First class service. Dave is a very easy person to deal with. He is friendly and accommodating with a passion to delivering a fantastic finish for his customers. I sent 2 rugs away for cleaning one of which cost me £500 from John Lewis and was heavily stained. It has been returned to me looking like new. My other rug (a shaggy pile) was in a high traffic area so was tired and grubby, again this looks so bright and fresh and basically like new. Thanks Dave!

I had a rug which belonged to my mum who I lost last year. It’s really sentimental to me and I wasn’t sure if it could be restored as its condition wasn’t great. Dave was the most approachable , helpful and honest rug cleaner out of all the different suppliers I tried. He was honest enough to mention that it was a better use of my money to have a bought a new rug than to clean it as I had a hand-tufted shaggy rug and it would involve several thorough processes to remove the cat's wee (!) and might render the rug's backing weaker, which would then need replacing/fixing at extra cost. Instead of hiding the costs from me, as other suppliers did, he was upfront and honest enough to say it was better if I had just bought a new rug. I would definitely recommend Cheshire Rug Cleaning, and will consider using them for their services in the near future. A personal touch to a professional cleaning company is rare. We were going to throw our Chinese rug out as we were sure it was too old & beyond cleaning. Dave came out and inspected it. We have been using Dave @ Cheshire Rug Cleaning for many years. We have a large Chinese rug that he has come to know well over the years. And there have been challenges when accidents have occurred!!! He also cleans another rug for us and occasionally over the years he has cleaned the upstairs carpets. I have to say we wouldn’t go anywhere else!! He is friendly, efficient and never lets you down. He’s also totally honest where your expectations are concerned. Asked for an opinion on cleaning a smelly rug tat had been left out in the rain too many times. Dave dropped off my 2 rugs today and OMG!!!!!!! I was not expecting them to come back so clean considering I have had them for so many years. The larger one of the two has silk woven into the pile and it now reflects the light so beautifully it looks brand new. Cheshire Rug Cleaning cleaned two large rugs for us. Both were fairly old, in an off-white colour, and were showing heavy shading and a number of spot marks. We doubted that they would restore, but were hoping to stretch their useful lives a little longer. Dave, the proprietor, collected the rugs, explained their processes (different for each of our two rugs), and what we should expect post cleaning. It took less than the original estimate of a week to clean them; and they came back looking like new. We're delighted!

Absolutely thrilled with the service from Dave. I'd rung lots of companies requesting that my 20'x 12' Chinese be cleaned off site but no one could carry this out! I rang Dave at Cheshire Rug Cleaning and it was no problem at all. It took 3 men to uplift the rug and take it back to his unit. Once it was cleaned, he returned it, even remembering I wanted it laying the opposite way to how it was when he collected it!!
